COE BERET. New. Beret of the Special Operations Units G.O.E. (Special Operations Group) of the Spanish Army (formerly C.O.E.). This beret has been regulation since 1967 for use in the UOE. It was first used by the guerrillas of the mountain military school in Jaca in 1958. The metal insignia of the COEs was initially used by COE 71.
