SPANISH LEGION TROOPS CHAPIRI (HAT). "La Legion Española " is the result of the personal effort of the Commander  Jose Millán-Astray. The unfavorable result in the colonial wars of the north of Africa was creating in addition disturbances in the country. Millán-Astray came to the conclusion that Spain needed  professional soldiers, not from replacement, with a morality and spirit of body that they were comparable to those of the foreign French Legion. The Legion is the phoenix of this personal project. They have intervened in several international missions of maintenance of the peace in different zones of the world.
