Can I wear a police shirt on the street?

The a priori answer is yes, but you have to make sure that you are not going to be confused by a policeman. For example, if you buy the national police technical shirt, do not wear it to go down the street where that police force patrols. Wear it at the gym, for running, or for any activity because although it is not an official shirt and is casual wear, the fact that it can be confusing could be a problem.
