MEXICO FEDERAL POLICE BADGE. Size: 8 cms. x 8 cms. approx.

Exact replic. Three-pin attachment on the back. Plain back. Metal badge.

Colours: green, white, red and dark blue. SSP stands for Ministry of Public Security and the Federal Police.

It shows a dog's face looking to the left, and the eagle facing right.

In the center is a scale representing Justice, and below two human faces looking to the right and to left.

In 2019, the PFP was integrated into the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (Secretaría de Seguridad y Protección Ciudadana or SSPC) as part of a restructuring and transformation of Mexico's security institutions. As a result, the Federal Police badge now bears the name of the SSPC and has adopted a new design that represents the values and responsibilities of the institution in protecting citizens and maintaining public order.
