It reaches the maximum number of COE's in Spain, 25 in total, in 1981 with the creation of the UOEL and COE of the EMMOE.With the restructuring imposed by the Plan for Modernization of the Army (TARGET) some COE's are dissolved and others are integrated into a higher Unity, the Special Operations Group.
